[摘要]
Objective: To investigate the quality of life and satisfaction of cancer care of female breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in Macau. To identify the correlation among socio-demographic and clinical characteristics, the satisfaction of cancer care (SCA) and quality of life (QOL) in female breast cancer patients undergoing treatment. To identify the predicting factors of QOL for female breast cancer patients in Macau. Methods: A cross-sectional survey with convenience sampling method was adopted to measure the QOL and SCA among female breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in Macau. Parameters such as socio-demographic and clinical characteristic, satisfaction of cancer care (SCA) and QOL (EORTC QLQ-C30) of the patients were collected. Non-parametric statistical methods were used to analyse the characteristic of variables. Binary logistic regression was conducted for identifying the predictors of QOL of the breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in Macau. Results: one hundred and ninety Macau breast cancer patients demonstrates a moderate level of QOL as well as satisfaction of cancer care. Frequency of social group participation is significantly positively correlated with satisfaction of cancer care. The stage of breast cancer is significantly negatively correlated with general health status, functional ability and satisfaction of cancer care but positively correlated with symptom ability. Working full-time with partner/children’s support and satisfied cancer information is found to account for 59.4% of the variance in physical functioning in QOL. Satisfaction of cancer outcome is found to account for 27% of the variance in Global health status/QOL. Conclusion: Four factors was identified in this study as predictive QOL outcome (stage of breast cancer, employment status, social support sources, information subscales in SCA). Based on this cross-sectional study, additional, longitudinal and intervention studies are suggested to further clarify the contribution of such factors and ways to improve nursing intervention.
