[摘要]
Objective: To investigate the quality of life and satisfaction of cancer care of female breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in Macau. To identify the correlation among socio-demographic and clinical characteristics, the satisfaction of cancer care (SCA) and quality of life (QOL) in female breast cancer patients undergoing treatment. To identify the predicting factors of QOL for female breast cancer patients in Macau. Methods: A cross-sectional survey with convenience sampling method was adopted to measure the QOL and SCA among female breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in Macau. Parameters such as socio-demographic and clinical characteristic, satisfaction of cancer care (SCA) and QOL (EORTC QLQ-C30) of the patients were collected. Non-parametric statistical methods were used to analyse the characteristic of variables. Binary logistic regression was conducted for identifying the predictors of QOL of the breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in Macau. Results: one hundred and ninety Macau breast cancer patients demonstrates a moderate level of QOL as well as satisfaction of cancer care. Frequency of social group participation is significantly positively correlated with satisfaction of cancer care. The stage of breast cancer is significantly negatively correlated with general health status, functional ability and satisfaction of cancer care but positively correlated with symptom ability. Working full-time with partner/children’s support and satisfied cancer information is found to account for 59.4% of the variance in physical functioning in QOL. Satisfaction of cancer outcome is found to account for 27% of the variance in Global health status/QOL. Conclusion: Four factors was identified in this study as predictive QOL outcome (stage of breast cancer, employment status, social support sources, information subscales in SCA). Based on this cross-sectional study, additional, longitudinal and intervention studies are suggested to further clarify the contribution of such factors and ways to improve nursing intervention.

[摘要]
Background: Workplace violence (WPV) often occurs among health workers. Psychiatry department is also the top three of the most frequent to experience workplace violence. In recent years, people have paid more attention to the quality of life (QOL), especially in mental health. A positive work environment can help to improve the quality of life of nurses. Improving nurses’ quality of life is of great help to their work performance and patient safety. This paper investigates the current situation of WPV among psychiatric nurses and the relationship between QOL. Objectives: (1) to examine the prevalence of workplace violence against psychiatric nurses; (2) to explore the differences between nurses with and without workplace violence in terms of socio-demographic characteristics; (3) to examine the relationships between workplace violence and QOL in psychiatric nurses in Jiangmen-China. Methods: Self-report questionnaire to comprehend data on 135 nurses in a hospital of Jiangmen. The scale SF-36 measures quality of life. SPSS Version 22 was used to analyze data. Chi-square test was used to analyze the comparisons of the socio-demographic factors between nurses with and without WPV exposure. Mann-Whitney U test was used to analyze socio-demographic factors as well as QOL and the relationship of WPV and QOL. Results: A total of 135 questionnaires were included. About 71.1% of psychiatric nurses explored in WPV and the most frequent violence were verbal (64.4%) and physical violence (45.2%). Significant difference was found between shift work and worry level of WPV (p<0.05). Subjective worry level also was found to relate to nurse’s quality of life (p<0.05). WPV can affect QOL especially in mental dimension(p<0.01). The perpetrators were patient and patient’s family. Head nurse, colleagues and their family and friends are the ones who were encouraged to report WPV. Conclusions: WPV can affect psychiatric nurses’ QOL. It is time to change and reduce the risk to provide safe working environment. Colleagues have a positive role in reporting workplace violence.
